Tuition and Fees

The International Sports Sciences Association's quality programs have one of the lowest tuition rates available anywhere. We have NO book fees, NO application fees, NO exam retest fees if you don't pass the first time, and NO graduation fees.

But, even better, ISSA’s personal trainer certification course offerings do not just begin and end with a book and a piece of paper. We also provide unlimited one-on-one support to all ISSA students as they study for their personal trainer certification exam—both online and via our toll-free help line—at no additional cost. Best of all, the ISSA's support doesn't end once you pass your personal trainer certification exam. Included with your course fee is unlimited access to our ISSAtrainer.com web site, where you can access hundreds of job listings, ISSA exclusive opportunities and discounts, and our online forum where you can post client or business challenges and receive guidance from members of the ISSA family worldwide.

Accreditation

Effective April 2008, IHRSA recommends that member clubs hire personal trainers holding at least one current certification from a certifying organization/agency that has begun third-party accreditation of its certification procedures and protocols from an independent, experienced, and nationally recognized accrediting body.

ISSA is proud to be actively pursuing the accreditation of six of our personal training certification programs with a nationally recognized accrediting agency that is authorized by the US Secretary of Education through the USDoE and CHEA.

Why not NCCA?

NCCA standards state that any organization seeking accreditation cannot require courses, classes, training, or workshops as a prerequisite to sit for their examination. ISSA strongly believes that students should be required to complete educational training prior to taking an examination to become a personal trainer. Furthermore, NCCA is not recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDoE) or the Council for Higher Education in America (CHEA) as an approved accrediting body.
